Sometimes the stars align and the photo gods smile down on me... And other times it just rains. But this time � joy of joys! � was of the stars-aligning variety, because my pal Brittney and I stumbled on this adorable amusement park while visiting a small town for work. It was still being set up at the time, but the super nice staff gave us free-range of the park, which we pretty much ran around like school girls until we were too hungry to keep going... And believe me when I tell you that no one likes "hangry" Vickie.

If you had asked if I liked vests a week ago I would have shrugged and shook my head no, but apparently a lot can change in a week, like swearing off sugar or taking travel mugs to Starbucks. It's the freakin' weekend (hurray!), and after what's felt like five days of running just to keep up, I'm beyond excited to have a couple days to unwind and do a little merry making. Purple is my new jam, because no matter what I seem to do, it's always creeping into my wardrobe via pants, a new blazer and even jewelry (win your own Les Arts Plastiques necklace here!). This isn't normally my favourite colour, but for whatever reason I seem to be all about it this season. Another thing I'm all about lately? Translucent bags. I found this one on Etsy, and since my DIY skills weren't quite up to the challenge, I ordered two... Hey, when you find yourself a good thing, you don't mess. xx
