{Closed Giveaway} Les Arts Plastiques...

When one of my favourite local jewelry designers asked to host a giveaway on the blog, I literally jumped at the chance. Every time I visit her at Royal Bison (aka the greatest local craft fair of all time), I leave with way more pieces than I anticipate (evidenced here and here) and tons of gifts for friends and family (she pretty much single handedly took care of my Christmas list last year!)

That's why I can't think of anyone I'd rather introduce you to than the lovely Alicia from Les Arts Plastiques. She was nice enough to send me this necklace to check out, and is even giving one away to a lucky reader! What a gal...

Forget variety, juxtaposition is the spice of life, so why not thrown on a jumbo-sequin mini with an army coat? Any excuse to pair the unpairable is fine by me, so bring on the unlikely combos. Sweatpants with spike heels? Sure. A leather pencil skirt with a slouchy sweater? Totally! A fabulous gown with a bomber jacket? Why not! Red, White and Blue...

There's nothing quite like a red, white and blue combo, and I couldn't get enough of this one today... These linen shorts are super old, but they've held up remarkably well considering they were a Forever 21 purchase. And when topped with a sequinned tank and statement necklace, they felt all shiny and new again... Gotta love the transformative power of clothing, right?

Coral Crush...

Yesterday was a beautiful day, which I spent galavanting with a dear friend... We checked out Royal Bison for some incredible crafts, had some refreshments and basked in the sun � Totes amaze. I got some pretty cool jewelry at the fair (see item 3 above!), as well as an adorable calendar printout that I promptly wrinkled and creased... What a girl.
