I was lucky enough to be included in FASHION Magazine's winter issue, sporting my take on holiday-wear with this flirty Loft 82 dress. To be honest, I would gladly take shimmering gold fabrics, patent heels and pretty pearls any day of the week, but during the holiday season they feel all the more alluring... Kind of like crushed velvet and eggnog, but I digress.

A BIG thank you to the magazine for including me (my mom is ecstaaaatic), and be sure to check out the issue in stores now! Page 216 errr, what? Who said that? xx

I love all things 90s, from flannel and Doc Martens to poof pens and Pop-up Video. Growing up during this time, I experimented with everything from overalls and dark lip liner, to argyle mini skirts and baby doll tees that had Cher Horowitz written all over them. Fast forward a few years, and I still find traces of the decade creeping into my life via fashion, music and film.

Take this dress for instance; the vibrant tribal print conjures up images of Saved By The Bell (which I'm currently rewatching on Netflix!) or Fresh Prince of Bel Air characters, while the booties, leather jacket and slouchy beanie pay homage to the grungier side of the spectrum (of which Im sure Angela Chase would approve). Whether you like it or not, elements from this oh lets go ahead and call it magical decade are probably creeping into your wardrobes as well, so you may as well embrace the resurgence and work it. Anything from lace up booties and oversized plaid shirts is fair game, with jeweled hair clips (omg, remember those?!) and dark, neutral lips all vying for your attention. I guess what they say is true: You can take the girl out of the 90s, but you cant take the 90s out of the girl. xx

Be sure to check out more '90s-inspired looks from this week's Style Panel!

Embracing the coming season's black-on-black, leather-hungry sensibilities might not be for everyone, but the girlie girls (myself included) of the world can breathe a collective sigh of relief The trend is as flexible as it is fun!

To achieve a look that feels feminine yet decisively on-trend, I opted for a faux leather mini and a black, peek-a-boo cutout sweater. By keeping silhouette, proportion and accessories in mind think statement necklaces and fun bracelets I was able to embrace the trend while still remaining true to myself. Fist pump.

Outfit details: sweater- Talulah (Aritzia); faux leather skirt- H&M; loafers- Zara; necklace & ring- Forever 21; watch- Michael Kors; bracelets- The Bay & Michael Kors

New Again...

If you've followed this blog for a while, you might recognize these photos from last summer's Elle & Nokia Style Correspondent competition. Never one to reuse content, I thought it would be fun to make an exception just this once and take a little stroll down memory lane... That was such a fun summer for me, and looking back, I can't help but notice how much my style has evolved over the past year (not to mention my photoshop skills shudder!). But regardless of said "growth" in the personal style department, elements of that time remain in the form of hats and full-length hemlines... I guess some things never change, huh?

Thanks for reading, and be sure to pop over to Fashion Magazine's Style Panel today to see how your fave bloggers sport hats... xx
