Never one to turn down a photo op, I was pretty pumped when my friend Jerry (yes, the dude in the bacon suit) offered to go on a photo adventure this week... What a guy! Turns out he's a bit of a wizard behind the lens, especially considering the fact that he generally photographs houses and not picky fashion bloggers � And take it from me, anyone who puts up with requests for "vertical lower body detail shots" and "horizontal full body landscapes" without complaint deserves a medal. Or, you know, at least a macaron or two.

Fun facts: 1. The guest star/grounding element of this outfit is a five-year-old denim jacket that I long had written off, and 2. I have a major stye situation happening right now. {Style} On the Chase...

Well hello there, friends! As some of you may already know, today is an extra special day... No, not because it's Friday and you've got a hot date with the school (or office) hunk or an invite to some super rad party, but because 34 years ago today, a woman who would later come to shape my formative years was born. That's right my friends, it's Claire Danes' birthday and I for one think we should all take a moment to celebrate the woman who brought us Angela Chase.

Now even if you strip her of those envy-inducing red locks and her effortless, plaid-centric style, Angela has that whole "voice of a generation" thing going for her. With her teen angst, way awesome friends (I still think of Rickie to this day!) and that whole hottest-dude-in-the-world-chasing-after-me thing, she had throngs of girls not only looking up to her, but relating to her as well. So in honour of Claire, here are some of my favourite Angela quotes from the series:

Sometimes the best things in life are the simplest, but if you ask me, it's usually the simple things that could use the most jazzing up... Like this Zara sweatshirt, for instance. It's totally cute and wearable, but without those floral, beaded embellishments? Maaaajor snoozeville. It's amazing what a little detailing can do to elevate such a basic, nondescript item into a thing of beauty... DIY'ers of the world take note.

Well it's official � Canadians across the land can rejoice in the knowledge that they can finally shop from Zara online. It's been a longtime coming (trust me, I used to live in a Zara-free city) and now we all can enjoy access no matter where we live... Hurray!

I was lucky enough to test out the site before it launched last week, and not only did I delight over their amazing spring offerings, but my package arrived � get this � three days after I placed my order! Let's just say a new obsession is born...
